ENDHIRAN (THE ROBOT) REVIEW

Yet again two Diwalis this year. May be the real Diwali will not be as much as cheering and enthusiastic. The long long awatied movie Endhiran (the Robot) has hit the screens and it is breaking all Indian Box office Records one by one. Collected over Rs.200 Crores before the release and made Rs.117 C in the first week of its release.

 Really a good, entertaining movie to watch. All of us can really enjoy it each and every second.

PLOT :
Vaseegaran ,a Robot scientist works on a creation of an Andro humanoid Chitti which is his ten years dream. He along with his assisstants creates it successfully injecting with all languages of world, cooking, knowledge of music,dance, fights etc. Sana his girlfriend is greatly attracted by it. She calls Chitti as her toy-friend.

Vasee maks him to move with the world for testing. He submits him for AIRD approval to dedicate it to Indian Army. Dr.Bohra, the professor of Vasee is jealous of his student's creation. Being the head of the AIRD team he does not approves it saying it cannot be able to discriminate good & bad and it can be a threat to society. Vasee tries to create emotions in him and suceeds. But it turns against him and starts to love his creator's girl friend. Vasee gets angry and he destoys Chitti. Dr.Bohra re-mantles Chitti and injects with destruction program "Red Chip". During Vasee-Sana's wedding Chitti kidnaps Sana and takes her to its place. It destroy's all the policemen who come in its way. Vasee finally manages rescue his lover and to bring back control of Chitti.

HIGHLIGHTS :

The movie is tried in Hollywood way of film making. The best scenes which according to me are:

• Chitti's magentic power of grabbing the weapons from the loud speaker mafias and posing as Badra Kali Amman, where all ladies start to feel excited to see it
• Chitti helping Sana in her final exam by projecting the book in her place.
• Chitti pointing out Vasee as his almighty when he was told Almighty is the one who creates.
• Chitti performing delivery of a complicated case where doctors lost hope
• Chitti trying to feel the love when Sana kisses him
• Feelings of Chitti when Sana denies of his love as he is not a human but only a humanoid
• Rising as a destructive Robot and manging to kill al policemen by taking forms of Sphere, pyramid, snake etc.
• Finally dismantling itself due to the presaure posed by government on it creator

TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS:

Computer graphics play a vital role in screenplay, especially in climax.

The last few minutes are very nice.

Many technical terms used are also made understadable for non-technical people.

CHARACTER SKETCH:

RAJNIKANTH as Vaseegaran:  Vasee is portrayed as normal man only with the knowledge of Computers. He is like an ordinary person. When a drunkard tries to misbehave to his lover he tries to make her escape rather than to resist. This is a different of portrayal of Rajnikanth. He is shown as a practical individual.  Vasee is a common man like the real practical men                    

 RAJNIKANTH as Chitti: The usual mannerism of Rajnikanth is portrayed in Chitti. Chitti makes comedies, love, fight,destruction, sentiment, action,fight everything. After a long time Rajni is shown in grey shade.

The usual Rajnikanth styles are not portrayed mostly. No punch dialogues are spoken, no special style (one like salute of Padayappa, Lighting Cigar with gun etc)His another face is portrayed in this movie





AISHWARYA as Sana:  Though Sana is important character of movie, Aishwarya is not used more. But she can be justified for Sana who made a Robot to get into love. Ash is a good choice as she is the eldermost beautiful heroine of age 36 who can be a correct pair for Rajnikanth's age of 60




SANTHANAM AND KARUNAS : No scope for them after interval. But they did a good job with that little scope

DANNY DENZONGPA : As Dr.Bohra, he plays vital role of polluting Chitti against Vasee. But his character is also not utilised much.

OTHER ASPECTS :

Songs : Though the songs are nice, the interuption of them is very annoying. The duet of Vasee-Sana is not much neccessary as duet of Chitti-Sana. Even Arima Arima is enough and not Irumbile Or idhyam. But it is wanted for Indian audiences. The highlights of Chitti shown in song Boom Boom Robo da is nice.

Comedies : Rajnikanth is itself enough for doing comedy like saying Naan innikku leavu (I am on leave today) to his boss, reading love poems in front of army generals during the test, Ranguski mosqutio scene etc

Sentiments : The dismantling of itself at the end and saying "Kadhal nna nattu boltu kalandhirumnnu solluvaanga. Itho kalandiricchu" (When love comes, men will get their nuts and bolts removed and here it is for me too.) ,begging for love of Sana despite being a Robot and feeling for not getting it. Begging for life from his creator etc.

Action : Very very fierce actions when fighting for Sana in the train, then in the climax etc. CG has made it intersting


The end scene where kids visitng museum after 20 years of Chitti's dismantle where he is kept for display is the sequence taken from "Meendum Jeeno" novel of Sujatha. Like how Jeeno gets de-activated and finally put in museum for public.

Endhiran is a good treat for Diwali. Threat to Sharukh khan's Ra one movie. SRK must have felt for missing this movie. Rajni rocks even in this age.

This is very different from Rajni usual flicks. It is a Shankar movie rather Rajni's. Shankar used rather saying squeezed him for the pay he is getting.

Tsunami Dreams

Tsunami- The Giant Tidal Waves. It knows to present only the death. Hardly people survive after getting trapped in that waves. May be those are the godly souls.  But my article here is not about the tsunami waves rather than I am going to narrate a story here.

The story is not going to follow any norms of short story grammars. It will begin suddenly and end suddenly. And you cannot find whether the story is commencing on past or present or future.

"I was sleeping with my friends in a room that night (actually morning ). The space is not a large one yet sufficient to accomodate a group of five.  I was in a deep sleep may be due that day's wandering or travel we had for our picnic. I could feel a pain in my leg . I don't know how? Though it was a summer night we did not required air conditioner it seems. I felt a cool breeze from sea shore as I am in a beach resort.

In a distance I heard someone calling my name. It continued for a long  time. I felt a disturbance in my sleep. I wanted to shout at them but my tiredness did not allow me to wake up. The calling did not stop. With much anger I woke up to respond. My friend Helen called me. She started to tap on my body.

With drowsiness 'Hey is it fair to call a sleeping person? What happened?' I asked

'Can you hear any sound?' She asked me back

I tried to hear a sound she told. But I could not ' No' I said.  She did not leave me.' Wait observe keenly. You can also hear' she said. Again I tried to hear. Yes I can hear a sound of breeze, sound of a dog barking. Now I said 'yes. The dog is barking'

'But I wanted you to hear an unusual sound. It comes from sea I think' Meanwhile others started to wake up by our sound. All repeated the same ' What happened?' I told them. Everybody tried to hear a sound she mentioned. I felt someone is trying to push me, shake me. Not only myself but everyone. 'What is up?' I asked.

Suddenly Helen screamed "Earth Quake" come on let us go out. Now I can clearly hear the sounds of people who felt the quake and ran from their places. I tried to get up from my bed. But I didn't. Again I dont' know why?' Actually no one including Helen got up from their places. The quake did not stop. We did not move from our positions. It stopped suddenly. Pin drop silence prevailed in our room. WE looked at each other's face.

'It is first time I am feeling a earth quake in my life.' I said. I looked at the clock. Time is around 5 am. I don't know what is our outing plan for that day. When should we start? etc. I leaned back to my bed. Like me no one got scared about the quake. Why? I don't know

Helen went to window. For a long time she was seeing outside. The sky started to turn blue. After some minutes she called us. Maria went to her. Helen pointed something to Maria and asked 'What is going on there?' There was a change in Maria's face. It is a fear I think. Maria started to call others. I also went and saw what is going on. Since that window is very near to sea shore we were able to see something odd.

We saw waves receeding from shore slowly. Something flashed my mind. I heard somewhere, receeding of waves signifies only one thing. One of the dangerous symptom of nature. TSUNAMI is going to hit the shore in a short while. Helen heard some unusual sound from sea only because of this.

The very next second no one planned how to go, where to go, with whom to go out from the resort. I did not even cared about the rest of four. I saw gigantic waves at a distance. I had no time to pack my bag, to take my money or to take anything. I had only my mobile with me. I came out of the place. Started to run along with all people who were near the shores. Distance from the resort to the nearest road is itself too long. No I did not think of that. My target was to reach the tallest building in the main road. Many others who are all running along with me had also the same target it seems.

Hundreds of pairs of legs helped their masters to escape from the tidal waves. I ran. Did nothing but ran. Yes I have covered 40% percent of distance. I stopped and turned back. No still am in the danger zone. Again I started to ran.

I reached the main road border. I turned again. Tsunami had hit the shores. My God what a huge gigantic wave demon is in front of me. No it is not the time to look at it. I started again to run. I crossed the main road and went inside the building stairs. The wave was long enough to hit upto the main road side shore border. I escaped in nick of time. I started to climb up in stairs.

My adrenal gland started to secrete more than the normal. I don't know how many floors does the building have. I climbed.... climbed... In that stairs there were hundreds before me and thousands after me. All had the same destination. I peeped through a hole in that building. The second wave is nearing the shore. I am not sure in which floor I am now. I started to climb again. I can hear sounds of death from the ground. Third wave is nearing the shore. The next wave is more huge than previous one. Sure God has planned for the 'Judgement Day' I think. I did not stop climbing neither do others. Fourth wave is reaching the shore now. I stopped for a while and saw the ground. I am sure nobody who were in the ground would be alive by this time because water level was raised upto the level of first floor approximately. Fifth wave reached the shores.

'Oh God What is this? Why the killer is not stopping? How many lives does it require?'

I regreted for coming to this place. My mother avised me not to go this picnic . Had I obeyed her..... Atleast I would have been with her and my father and we would have died together. But now. I cried not for my life but for my parents. How could they digest my end of life. How could they bear the sorrow? . No I have to live for them. I started to climb again. Water level raised drastically. I can see waters in the stairs. All are breathing for their life. Many who were in the stairs by his time have.......

Sixth wave reached the shores and water raised again. Seventh wave,eighth wave...... Water is very near to the floor which am in now. Though I climbed high it is of no use. Next wave hit the shores. Water level is one floor next to the one I am now. Nobody is moving before me. I am stuck, trapped. And I have reached the end line of my life. I took my mobile phone dialled to my mom. It was around 7 am. Now only she would have woke up.

'Hello Dear. Tell me. Now only you got off from your bed?'. She is very happy to hear my voice.May be she is not aware of the diasater.

'Mom I am sorry. This is the last call in my life. I wanted to hear your voice before I die.'

She got alarmed. 'Why?' she screamed

I explained. I can hear huge sound cry from that side. 'Dear Do something and escape? You have to live.' she screamed. 'I know you can. Escape'

'Sorry mom. everything is beyond control. I have no choice. Mom I love you more. Good Bye' I cannot hear her sob anymore. I cut the line.

All others who were with me are also hopeless, everyone started to count their last minutes. I got a call from my mom. But I did not attend  Next wave hit the shores. Water is near to my leg. Next wave is nearing the shores. It is the wave which is going to end my life

Suddenly space before me got cleared. I got space to run. Not much hopes I had . But I proceeded. I got lot of space. Next wave hit shores. By the time I reached the terrace. I saw a helicopter flying around there. Somebody gave me the rope ladder. I climbed in it. Next wave also hit the shores. I was in helicopter now which flew away from that place. Now am away from sea shores. Do not know where I am going now. But am safe. My life is not going to end today. Many helicopters were taking trips to save the living ones. Many others were climbing the ladder to get away from killer wave. I heard a ring from my phone."

I got up from my sleep and my mother attended the phone call from my father who is abroad.

Yes the above story is the worst nightmare I have ever had in my life. Not even a single sentence is an exaggaration. All happened in my dream.

This is not the first time I get the tsunami dream but many times previously .But those were not worst like this one.

I cannot imagine a tsunami in dream. I am really sorry for the people who have encountered a situation like this. And for the people who have died in the killerwaves. How would they have been while
everything happened really?

Actually I had changed the names of my friends. I do not know what happend to them? Did I tell my mother I am safe? Did the killer stopped? Nothing I know

And why I am getting dreams like this?

Madrasapattinam - review

People generally love movies which transport them to past or future. Imsai Arasan 23 am Pulikesi which took us to a comic historical past and it is now Madrasapattinam which takes us to a lovable past.

PLOT:

The plot starts with a old woman Amy Smith and her family in the funeral of the old woman's husband. She faints at the graveyard. Doctors suggest to do operation for a clot in her brain. But the operation also gives only 50 - 50 chance of living. The old woman looks at a photgraph of a young man and she is reminded of her past. She travels to India against her family's wishes along with her grand-daughter.

As soon as she lands in India she reminds her days there as Amy Wilkinson during pre-independence. She is the daughter of Governor of then Madarasapatinam. She sees the city with protestants of independence, different innocent people etc. She sees a young man Parithi who is daring dynamic and bold washerman who also know wrestling. She is attracted by him. Meanwhile in the present year old Amy searches for Parithi with help of cunning and greedy travel agent.

Old Amy meets many people who are all once upon a time lived in the place where she was residing. Again in the past, Parithi was arrested for protest and she is released by Amy. This creates him a love for her. Meanwhile her marriage was fixed much against her wishes and she is forced to marry Commisioner whom she dislikes. Amy and Parithi start to love and she learns to speak in Tamil. The washerman's area was to be accomodated for construction of Golf club for which washermen are against. Amy challenges commisioner to wrestle with a bet of either give back their area or she should never visit this place. Commisioner competes with Parithi and he is defeated and washermen get their place.

In present, old Amy meets Kabir, friend of Parithi in his last minute of life but she could not get details of Parithi. In the past, India is given independence and Amy's parents take her to Delhi and then to London.Amy escapes from them and go to Parithi. Both of them stay in a safe place to escape from Commisioner till morning when the government changes. Commioisoner finds them and a battle take place between two. In that struggle Amy injures her head which is the cause of the clot in the present. Comiiioner dies the struggle and both of them leave the place with the help of Kabir. But Amy is forced to leave Parithi. In the present, old Amy gives advertisement to newspapers with Parithi's photo. She is contacted by a film director who knows Parithi. She takes a taxi to go to the place where in the middle she sees a trust collecting donation in the name 'Duraiammal' in which she was called by Parithi. She goes to the trust office and finds Parithi created it and fulfiled her desires of constructing school,orphange,college etc. She lands into the tomb of Parithi and finds him that he is dead 12 years ago and did not marry till his last breadth. Amy leaves her last breath in his tomb.

REVIEW

POSITIVE:

It is a  very nice try to picturise a place as it was 60 years ago. The sets created to depict the old Madarasapattinam like Tram,old Cars especially Birkingham Canal which is affectionaltely called "Cooum" by chennaities. Cooum had water transport till mid 80's and it is a great thing to show people with boats in it.

The love sequences of Parithi and Amy was touching. The real touching was the climax when she finds Pariti in his tomb and leaves her breath on it.

Songs are melodious.

CRITICS

The film mostly resembles the stories of Titanic and Lagaan. Example are the sequences showing an old woman who reminds her lost love some years before, arriving with her grand daughter, leaving her lover in the water etc

The sequences such as protesting for the place resemble Lagaan which has similar plot line like protesting for tax burdern, wrestling similar to playing cricket and defeating British and achieving their success etc

There are many questions unanswered like what has happened to Parithi after she leaves him in Birkingham canal, what has happend to Kabir when he runs to divert policemen to chase him to save his friend and lover, by whom she is captured and sent back to London and what has happened to Parithi's younger sister whom they searched in the beginining of the movie to find Parithi etc. We can take it in this way like since film moves in the perception of Amy she does not know what has happened to them but it can be shown by whom she is caught and sent to London.

But skiping these things and if we watch, the movie has a touching love breeze in it which burderns our heart while the end of the movie.

July 31st 2010. The sensation of Kollywood. The grand launch of Magnum Opus Rajinikanth starring along with Ash and direction by Shankar 'Enthiran' audio.  It is the first movie of Shankar with A.R.Rahman after his grand capture of Academy Award.

 Each CD costs around Rs.120/- But fans never mind the cost. Fans of Rajnikanth celebrated the audio launch like a festival. Imagine how the celebration of opening of movie will be! The release date is not sure. Whether it is going to be September or for November Diwali?

The previous combination of Shankar and Rajinkanth in Sivaji, The Boss which grossed more than 200 C and also which created a record of being highest grossed movie in Indian cinema till now has added the fuel to fans' expection fire.

Well it is expected to be an science fiction movie. For kollywood, this type subject is very occasional. So the idea of how the movie will be received is unpredictable. Is is going to be a Shankar's movie or Rajnikanth's movie? If it is going to be Shankar's movie, we can expect some good stuff. Rather if it is a Rajnikanth's movie then science fiction lovers can face a disappointment. The proof is already evident in their previous combination. But everything is going to be same for Rajni's fans.

The songs were released on July 31 st 2010 , to a great expectation. Rahman has given his best of music. The song 'Pudhiya manidha' which is expected to be the opening song Rajni in movie is quite superb.

Rajni Sir. We know Shankar is one of your favourite directors. And you were very keen to work with from quite a long time. Hope we you would have not killed the story for the sake of your image and you have given freedom to give him a 'Terminator' series type of movie.

Shankar who always loves to tear the real face of India usually seems to have tried this type of context. May be this time also he would done that.

For tamil film , after a long time a married actress is  acting as lead pair that too with superstar of the industry. Ash has not lost her priority in Kollywood despite her marriage. When other married actresses who make their come back with only as sisters,mothers of the heroes elder than their age and also with whom they have been paired once upon a time, she maintains her tempo of being favourite to all heroes. This must be a good re-beggining to tamil films to cast married women as heroines with lead roles like hollywood and bollywood. She was paid more than the fresh lead actresses of tamil movies for this movie. Our heroes still have a dream to pair with her. Other ladies please maintain that honour like her.

It is told the story of Enthiran is like Sujatha's En Iniya Enthira and Meendum Jeeno. But those stories gives importance to female character and a robo dog. How it could be a story of a RanjiKanth's movie? And the assumed story line of the movie does not have even a single similarity with that books.

Anyway September or Novemeber this year is going to be good treat for not only Rajni's fans but to everybody. This movie must start a new trend in tamil industry for others to come up with science fiction subjects.  Tamil audiences are fed up with stupid Vijay's, Vishal's, Bharath's action movies and loud punch dialogues. Atleast for escaping from these people, Enthiran should run for more than 150 days crossing it previous gross record revenue.

Punnagai Mannan - from my point of view

Now I have decide to post reviews and comments from my and my fellow mates perspective

I saw Punnagai Mannan around ten days back . Though it has tragedic end , the rest of the movie had a good entertaing feature.

Movie begins with young lovers Sethu and Ranjani who arrive there to commit suicide with the intent of joining at death. They live happily during the last minutes of the life. However, while jumping from the cliff Sethu gets trapped in a tree and survives and Ranjani dies.

This is a good starting given for that movie. Nearly after half-an-hour or something itself title is starting. Then Sethu is imprisoned for an year for suicide attempt. He comes out where he is shown a new life by Padmini, a spinster who owns a dance school. He tries to live peacfully with the life until he meets a girl called Malini who attempts suicide for silly reason. He diverts her and saves. This creates a crush for Malini towards him. She chases Sethu to his dance school. Though Sethu repeatedly insults her , she resists and continues to love him. She was also helped by Sethu's uncle Chaplin Chellappa to win his heart. At a point Sethu could not preveent himself loving her and finally he comes out of his ego and confesses his love for Malini. Sethu starts a new innings of his life.

Malini is a Sinhalese girl and becoz of which Sethu is not acepted as groom by Malini's parents. So both of them struggle hard and finally succeed. Everything goes fine with the wedding engagement of Sethu-Malini when Ranjani's father places a bomb in the car where Sethu and Malini are travelling to revenge him for his daughter's death. And finally Sethu Malini die in an explosion.

The love blossoming within Sethu for Malini is depicted nicely. He wants to be alone for rest of his life with Ranjani's memories but everything goes upside down. Young people even after many years after the release will surely like this becoz love is a love.

Malini, despite knowing Sethu's previous failed love whcich went upto a cliff, does not give it up. She also respect the love by showering flowers in the cliff place. Malini's love for Sethu is depicted very fine.

Chaplin Chellappa, is also a good humuorous character of the movie . Kamal Haasan really showed his talent to differentiate both the characters. Viewers can visualise only it as Sethu and only as Chaplin chellappa and not as as Kamal Haasan.  A branch story why he was called as Chaplin Chellapa, justifies the role at a point. One thing that, Revathy (Malini) seeking help of Kamal (Chap Chellappa) to win the Kamal's(Sethu) heart is a comedy from non-story point of view.

Other Characters like Padmini who later accepts to marry Chaplin Chellapa, Sethu's father, Malini's father,Ranjani etc are finely picturised.

The music scored by Maestro Illayarja has also added a good feature for the movie. Every song rocks even after 20 years. The songs are very nice to hear like Kala kalamaaga vazhum, Singalattu chinna kuyile, kavithai kelungal are melodious rocks.

However the movie has many technical failures at some places. The movie is badly editted in many places. Eg: when Malini was troubled by her dance class mate and when Sethu came to her rescue, the scenes are badly shown.

The picturisation of cliff suicide scene, Sethu's love confession scene indoors along with the piano dance, dual picturisation of Kamal Haasan as Sethu and Chaplin Chellapa are some of the notable appreciatable aspects of the movie.

The movie if ended in a positive manner may have added some value in another way. But with its negative ending rocked during that period. Except for the climax scene I like to watch every part of the scene.

Well January 30th,2010. We have speciality in our sky. Moon, the natural satellite of the earth has neared to 50000 kms to our planet.

Shall we look out some facts about it?

When and How Moon was formed?

There are many beliefs or theories about the findings of moon's origin.

• Some theories say, Moon was the first to be formed after then only earth. Because of the gravity,  it is believed that Earth has pulled out the Moon.
• Another theory was, Earth and Moon was formed at the same time, but due to the gravity,Moon instead of revolving the Sun, revolves Moon.
• Third one is, Earth was the first one to be formed. Some part of the earth was drawn away due to some Meteroite, which has become Moon. The blank place is the then Pacific Ocean.

Anyhow, all these are just hypothesis. None of them are proved.

Sun seen on day, Moon seen at night. Yet how both of them are at same size?

Is there any problem on our eyes? No.

The distance between Earth and the Moon is approximately 4 lakh Kms. But this is not a constant distance. It varies, as, like earth, Moon revloves Earth in an elliptical orbit.

Sun is 400 times bigger than Moon. Sun is at distance of 400 times of distance between Earth and Moon. That is why the sizes of sun and Moon are alike for a spectator from Earth.

BLUE MOON, BLACK MOON, OTHER MOON:

We would have heard some terms "Once in a Blue Moon", it is quoted for something which is unusal. What is Blue Moon. Does the color of the Moon becomes blue? Not at all. Sometimes due to the intervention of dust,fog,smog on Earth's surface makes the Moon to look blue.
Another fact is, usually full moon event occurs once in a month. But once in 3 years full moon occurs twice in a month. The second full moon of the month is termed 'Blue Moon'.

Once in 29 days full Moon becomes new Moon. But sometimes full moon event does not occur at all, say for example in the month February, where we have 28 days, we cannot see full moon at times. that is termed as Black Moon.

We would have heard some stories from our Grand parents, parents, like Moon is swallowed by a giant Snake. That is Lunar Eclipse. Imagine how big the snake must be to swallow a moon!

What is the reason when something visible has become invisble? Because it was covered up by something Who can be the mischief who covers up the Moon. He can eiether be the Sun or the Earth. Moon is not illuminated on its own.  It gets its light from Sun. If there is no Sunlight then there is no light for Moon.

During Lunar eclipse, Earth comes in between the Sun and the Moon and all the three are in a straight line. So light from the Sun is blocked to Moon, by the Earth from being reflected. So suddenly Moon disappears. But Moon continues to revolve around the Earth. Thus becomes visible again.

MOON DAY: July 20th, 1969. The Day when Earth man first time landed on Moon.

GRAVITY:What will we do to reduce our weight? Diet,Excercise or both. But we do not require this if we are in Moon.

The gravity in Moon is 1/6th of the gravity of Earth. So anything weighing 6 kilogram in Earth will 1 Kg in Moon. If you are 60 kg in Earth, then you are 10 kg in MoonIf you jump from a land surface from Earth, we come back within seconds but in Moon we come back after some minutes. Because Moon has no gravity.

Guys,

Well . Many of you would have wrote aps, attended many interviews yet not have cracked them and grabbed jobs.

It is not only your problem rather problem of many graduates.So do not worry about it too much. Time has not reached you.

Here I post one GD experience which fetched job for that candidate.

It is a simple fact.

In many Interview cracking books, many advices would have been penned up.

I would rather say, all facts in those books will not be applicable at all places. Only some is applicable in some places only some times.

In the GD, the topic given was,

"Why actresses from north india are opted for heroine roles in our films".

The topic will be liked by almost all young stairs. The matter is not about the topic but the fact behind GD.

Generally GDs are conducted to test your boldness, fluency, how much you are confident about yourself etc. In many books there will be a point mentioned. That is "person who initiates the discussion will be given more weightage than others."

Here the points will be mentioned in the following way"

Initiation Techniques


Initiating a Group Discussion is a high profit-high loss strategy.

When you initiate a Group Discussion, you not only grab the opportunity to speak, you also grab the attention of the examiner and your fellow candidates.

If you can make a favourable first impression with your content and communication skills after you initiate a Group Discussion, it will help you sail through the discussion.

But if you initiate a Group Discussion and stammer/ stutter/ quote wrong facts and figures, the damage might be irreparable.

If you initiate a Group Discussion impeccably but don't speak much after that, it gives the impression that you started the Group Discussion for the sake of starting it or getting those initial kitty of points earmarked for an initiator!

When you start a Group Discussion, you are responsible for putting it into the right perspective or framework. So initiate one only if you have indepth knowledge about the topic at hand.

There are different techniques to initiate a Group Discussion and make a good first impression:

ii. Definition
iii. Question
iv. Shock statement
v. Facts, figures and statistics
vi. Short story
vii. General statement


Guys, you would have thought that you are the only one who know these points. No, these points are known by almost all the graduates who opt for a job. So when everyone are aware of this fact, it is natural that all of them will try to initiate the discussion at a time. Ultimately the examiner will not know who had initiated the discussion. So, hereafter do not attempt that practice.

 As I already said, since many of them are aware about that fact, it is not going to help you to have any special impressions on you for examiners. Better wait for a second or two, to see if anybody in your group will start to speak. If not nobody does , then you start . At this time your chances will have possibilities to increase. If anybody starts leave it, no issue, becoz just for that fact you did not initiate will not decrease your score.

Next, everybody have a pressure to clear the round, so almost all members will try to establish their points to impress examiner. So when everybody talks at a time, the hr will not know who is speaking better. So even if you shout, it is not going to work., your uniqueness will not identified. So if many members are speaking, leave it.

You know every HR in a GD at last, will  give a chance for the people who had not spoken. At that time you strongly utter your points, with confidently, boldly, firm but politely along with a loud voice. It will increase your score.

Next if you are speaking naturally, your speech will be interrupted by another person. Please do not say
"Please wait, let me finish". You will be considered as a rude person. And also do not say "Friends, please do not quarrel" or "do not fight". You are not there to stop quarrels, but only to expose your communication skill.

• Speak only relevant points.
• Do not speak in one word
• Do not utter your points to examiner. Speak as if the examiner is not there.
• Do not stammer. Even if you speak one point speak it with clear, perfect, confident tone.
•  Do not point out any person in name or their negative aspects. You are not speaking in any   meeting. But speak all positive points. It would help.
•  Do not dominate your other speakers. Do not frequently interrupt any speaker. It will create a very worst impression about you to HR. Let them finish their point. After that a 1/10 second gap will come. You start speaking in that gap.

Well, apply all those points as per the situation. You decide how you should act in the place.

Rahu Kala, Yama Kanda., All these are formulated to threaten people by our fore-fathers. After a while it was established 8 is not a lucky number. People ensured that even their Vehicle registration number does not contain 8 as the result of sum of all digits. This is in India.

Similarly foreign countries too have some sentiments which even terrorise to an great extent. Like 8 in our country 13 is the most unlucky number for them. Even if we take numbers of houses we can see 12 then number 14 is alloted but we could not see the number 13. Even the large railway station platforms will 12th platform then 14th platform, but not 13th platform. Even governments are scared of this number. The interesting fact is if date 13 comes at Friday it is taken as bad omen. On these days the streets will be deserted, trains, buses will even cancel their services.

We may think that these are stupid sentiments and senseless ones, but let us take in this way. Today due to development in sciences people are slowly losing their attachment towards the religion their principles, disciplines etc. So when this trend continues, the world will one day become a graveyard. In order to make them people follow correct pathways these phobias are instilled in people's mind. But some take it as a source of making life interesting.

There are many beliefs about these fact.The most popular belief is, Jesus Christ was crucified on October 13th, which is a Friday. Hence christians are believing 13 to be unlucky number.

We call this phobia as Triskaidekaphobia (tris meaning "3," kai meaning "and," and deka meaning "10"). These people postpone their businesses aside even if they are in urgency to complete. For them sentiment plays a vital role in their life rather than remedies.

What can we do with these? When we are sincere and honest to our conscience we need not scare for anything.

Unidentified Flying Objects and Apollo Missions

From the middle of twentieth century, two superior developed nations had a competition towards attaining the goal on, who among them is would reach the moon. I don't have to say they are U.S.A and U.S.S.R. Both nations struggled their level best to dominate outer space. The most important mission is make man reach moon. Despite several failure attempts , it was America which achieved it. But many of the USAians even today are not ready to believe the man moon mission. Any how it is believed that in the year 1969, when first earth man stepped on moon, the whole human race was proud.

The subsequent years from 1969 to 1972 American moon mission extended from Apollo 11 to Apollo 17. During these missions many research were done about Moon, on the stones, landscapes, soil etc etc. The astronauts and NASA scientists exchanged informations and communicated with each other. All the conversations are broadcasted on radio. Factually no informations were concealed about Apollo's missions to general public. But it is told by one of the scientist of NASA that all informations are not published to the common people. It is about the UFOs which were witnessed by almost all the astronauts on moon.

APOLLO 11 AND UFO

The historical Apollo 11 mission was accompolished on July 20, 1969 with the landing of astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, while Michael Collins remained in lunar orbit. Five subsequent Apollo missions also landed astronauts on the Moon, the last in December 1972. Unofficially it is notified that Neil Armstrong and Aldrin have seen these UFOs on the moon skies. Many informations were released by NASA the most significant one the live radio broadcast which relayed to people, the each and every movement of Apollo 11. Not only NASA medias but also many private radio channels ran the live relay without interference. Everything was fine until suddenly some few minutes relay was interrupted during the crucial conversations between NASA mission control and Apollo 11 astronauts.

It was recorded that due to some over heat in the cameras the interruption occured. But it was recalled by some scientists, that, while one of the discussion say "a light" was started, the broadcast was cut off. When astronauts were saying something about UFO NASA disrupted the broadcast intentionally in order to avoid common public to know about it. As mentioned some other private radio channels were also transmitting the conversations. Their frequencies were not been interrupted. They were able to clearly hear the exchanges between APOLLO 11 and MISSION CONTROL

It looks like the activities of APOLLO 11 regarding UFO was confused by NASA. Though NASA concealed the informations few other ex-scientists who were involved in APOLLO mission released new informations.

Unlike Earth, in moon there are many craters which are much deep. Since moon does not have atmosphere meteorites dashed the surface resulting in huge fissures. When Aldrin and Armstring landed on the surface they saw a bright glow on the either side of the crater. They saw spaceships which was confirmed to be alien's coming one by one. They also said it cannot be any illusions of light. During their historical moon walk they went very much away from Apollo. when they turned to return they were stunned to see some UFO engulfing their shuttle as if some examine Apollo 11. How could it be when we were thinking that we were alone and no one else with us, but there are somebody other than humans who are with us in that lonely moon land.Their tension was exposed very in the recording while they communicating this information to the earth station. They immediately returned to Apollo and witnessed the take off of those UFOs. Many other astronauts also recorded similar incidents like this during further moon missions.

Neil Armstrong during later days pointed that those objects were gigantic with developed technologies. It was like a sign of some warning.

Many further Apollo missions also experienced the UFO sight on moon. All the astronauts who took up the mission are experienced talented people. So there cannot be any exhaugerration in their statements. We can infer that the UFOs are not only seen at earth but also on moon.

Man is the most intelligent creature in this earth. Do you agree? But I won’t. For me the most intelligent creature is Dolphin. It is not an intelligent but also kind and humble. It can be understood how and why?

In New Zealand, lies a strait connecting Tasmanian Sea on the west with South Pacific Ocean on the east called Cook Strait. That small narrow sea path is usually an accident prone zone for most of the ships as it has many rocks concealed below sea level. Rising tidal waves also contribute to the drowning of ships. From the year 1880 for next twenty years a 14 feet Dolphin facilitated number of ships from sinking by directing them to correct path without being knocked by the rocks and also by preventing from being trapped by hazardous whirlpools.

In that 6 mile long strait, whenever that Dolphin encounters a new vessel, it would jump, dive and welcome and would direct the ship to the correct way till the shore. Afterwards it would proceed to next ship. The ships which followed its way had never stumbled upon any accidents. If by chance it encounters more than a ship, it chooses to direct the most fast ship and then proceed to the next. Whenever the ship crew come across it, they would express their delightfulness to it.

In the year 1903, a sailor in a ship named S.S.Penguin fired a bullet on it. Fortunately it managed to escape. Then it disappeared for the next two weeks. It returned back and started its routine but it did not showed the correct path for S.S.Penguin, because of which the ship sunk and around 75 of the crew were dead.

In 1904, New Zealand government formulated a new law for protecting that Dolphin. If any citizen harms it, they will given severe punishment. No law in any country of the world had done like this in order to guard a single Dolphin. In this way the country expressed its loyalty for saving their vessels.

The Dolphin was named as Polaris Jack. It became popular worldwide for its nobility. Many movies were taken , verses were written on it and a chocolate company introduced their new product in the name of Polaris Jack. People worldwide visited the strait to meet Jack. This includes famous author Mark Twain and poet Rudyard Kipling. It had eyes that of a human eyes and when it dived it was like a silver object glittering in water.

At last Jack vanished in 1912 and nobody was able to see it again. An newspaper commented “If it was dead, then it is a great loss to this world, if it had been killed, the whole human race must feel ashamed of the act.”
