Some hidden facts in GD cracking

Guys,

Well . Many of you would have wrote aps, attended many interviews yet not have cracked them and grabbed jobs.

It is not only your problem rather problem of many graduates.So do not worry about it too much. Time has not reached you.

Here I post one GD experience which fetched job for that candidate.

It is a simple fact.

In many Interview cracking books, many advices would have been penned up.

I would rather say, all facts in those books will not be applicable at all places. Only some is applicable in some places only some times.

In the GD, the topic given was,

"Why actresses from north india are opted for heroine roles in our films".

The topic will be liked by almost all young stairs. The matter is not about the topic but the fact behind GD.

Generally GDs are conducted to test your boldness, fluency, how much you are confident about yourself etc. In many books there will be a point mentioned. That is "person who initiates the discussion will be given more weightage than others."

Here the points will be mentioned in the following way"

Initiation Techniques


Initiating a Group Discussion is a high profit-high loss strategy.

When you initiate a Group Discussion, you not only grab the opportunity to speak, you also grab the attention of the examiner and your fellow candidates.

If you can make a favourable first impression with your content and communication skills after you initiate a Group Discussion, it will help you sail through the discussion.

But if you initiate a Group Discussion and stammer/ stutter/ quote wrong facts and figures, the damage might be irreparable.

If you initiate a Group Discussion impeccably but don't speak much after that, it gives the impression that you started the Group Discussion for the sake of starting it or getting those initial kitty of points earmarked for an initiator!

When you start a Group Discussion, you are responsible for putting it into the right perspective or framework. So initiate one only if you have indepth knowledge about the topic at hand.

There are different techniques to initiate a Group Discussion and make a good first impression:


i. Quotes
ii. Definition
iii. Question
iv. Shock statement
v. Facts, figures and statistics
vi. Short story
vii. General statement


Guys, you would have thought that you are the only one who know these points. No, these points are known by almost all the graduates who opt for a job. So when everyone are aware of this fact, it is natural that all of them will try to initiate the discussion at a time. Ultimately the examiner will not know who had initiated the discussion. So, hereafter do not attempt that practice.

 As I already said, since many of them are aware about that fact, it is not going to help you to have any special impressions on you for examiners. Better wait for a second or two, to see if anybody in your group will start to speak. If not nobody does , then you start . At this time your chances will have possibilities to increase. If anybody starts leave it, no issue, becoz just for that fact you did not initiate will not decrease your score.

Next, everybody have a pressure to clear the round, so almost all members will try to establish their points to impress examiner. So when everybody talks at a time, the hr will not know who is speaking better. So even if you shout, it is not going to work., your uniqueness will not identified. So if many members are speaking, leave it.

You know every HR in a GD at last, will  give a chance for the people who had not spoken. At that time you strongly utter your points, with confidently, boldly, firm but politely along with a loud voice. It will increase your score.

Next if you are speaking naturally, your speech will be interrupted by another person. Please do not say
"Please wait, let me finish". You will be considered as a rude person. And also do not say "Friends, please do not quarrel" or "do not fight". You are not there to stop quarrels, but only to expose your communication skill.

• Speak only relevant points.
• Do not speak in one word
• Do not utter your points to examiner. Speak as if the examiner is not there.
• Do not stammer. Even if you speak one point speak it with clear, perfect, confident tone.
•  Do not point out any person in name or their negative aspects. You are not speaking in any   meeting. But speak all positive points. It would help.
•  Do not dominate your other speakers. Do not frequently interrupt any speaker. It will create a very worst impression about you to HR. Let them finish their point. After that a 1/10 second gap will come. You start speaking in that gap.

Well, apply all those points as per the situation. You decide how you should act in the place.

You know why I am saying this. Let me explain.

For any country you need the following documents like PASSPORT,VISA etc.

To apply visa for a country, there are several procedures. One of this is medical examination. For gulf country visa processing, there is council called GULF COUNTRIES COUNCIL (GCC) which approves your visa for gulf visit. It is a mandatory you need to do a medical check up in your home country, homecity or hometown in any one of their apprved Clinical centres present. If you even have inital traces of the above mentioned disease, very very unfourtunate, you could not get a slip called GAMCA Slip (GCC Approved Medical Centres Association). Only with that GAMCA SLip stating your fitness, your visa for gulf country can be processed. It is a very important document. Your passport number is the reference for future. If you have any disease while your first time checkup a& rejected and even if you cure it, you could not get that slip, the above mentioned victims are not excused at any cost. They will look your earlier reports using passport number. So your previous reports are there in their database.

So before going for medical checkup in the GCC Medical centres, please ensure you are not victime even in the initial stage of above mentioned diseases exclusively.

Once you have got your GAMCA Slip you visa is processed . you are safe in home town. But dont feel elated. You will have another medical checkup in the country you are going to visit. YOu must pass the medical test there also. IF you clear, you are then safe, until your visa gets cancelled or until your visa expiry.

This is an important procedure for Gulf country visa processing.

This is a discussion about the fact how unemployed are falling into the prey of fake companies and consultants hoping to get a job.


One of the biggest problems in India (not only in India) presently is unemployement. That too in TamilNadu where number of engineering colleges are increasing day by day.

No of engineers passing out in a year exceeds in lakhs. All opt for white collar jobs. In such a scenario, the unemployment is taken as a means of earning by many companies and consultants.

In India there are many companies which trap you to steal money by telling you that you will get placements. But actually none of the consultants really keep up their promises. Candidates must get their at their own effort and risk.

But credits goes to them who say that they have placed this no of students , that number of candidates thorugh their consultants.

Guys beware it clearly brings light to the fact that they are pure 100% fraud and
scam.


A real GENUINE company will not demand a single paise or penny or cent to give you job. Only scammers demand money from you. What is there i getting money from you and paying it back as salary.


A company is genuine only if it conducts atleast two to three rounds of interview and which does not demand any money to give offer letters

But there is a company. It introduces itself as a subsidiary of a leading MNC. It conducts aptitude test and if cleared it asks money for job training.

About 1.5 lakhs. And it convinces by saying sure placement is given after that 1 year training. If performance is good employement will be confirmed and salary will be hiked if not, one year experience certificate will be given.

If there is any guarantee that they would approve the performance and give employement after that one year. If they wantedly they say I lack skills what about my 1.5 lacs. What the hell I can do with that experience certificate.


As I already asked WHAT IS THERE IN GETTING MONEY FROM ME AND PAYING IT BACK AS SALARY TO ME

So beware of these scammers. Again I stress my view that A REAL GENUINE COMPANY DOES NOT DEMAND EVEN A SINGLE PENNY OR PAISE TO PROVIDE YOU JOB.

So identify the scammers and save your money. If you deposit in any bank or something you canatleast benefit by getting interest.

PLease wait until you get a good job. Do not loose your hopes. Work hard and one day sure you will achieve.

But that day will come soon only if you work hard.

I am posting my own experience about my first job.

It is natural when students become delighted when they get recruited via campus.They seem that their life is settled. If you (person who reads this) are such a guy VERY VERY VERY SORRY you are wrong. Your real trouble starts only when you get selected.

Here I would like to pen up my miseries here:

When I was third year in my college I had tough time in getting job as I was not able to clear any aptitude tests. I missed 4 companies like this. Then I was about to give up.I decided to pursue my higher studies. But fate played in my life. Unexpectedly I got a job in a company named XXX Limited( not willing to mention).You know I am the first person in the whole college to join in that job. Joined after I completed my 7th semester. The terms are I must attend training two days per week . I spoiled my classes sometimes to attend it. I really had miserable time to balance my job and studies.

I attended full time there after I completed my graduation. While offering letter they demanded 18 montths agreement. I did not mind that as it is very common. But niether in their offer letter nor in the agreement they mentioned that my employement will be confirmed only based on performance during training. How do I know this being a fresher.They trained me in Java and J2EE Technologies. No it is not training. They did not help me in any way. I struggled to train myself to their requirements. Not even a single person in that office bothered about my presence. My bloody project manager , that stupid guy kept on giving negative reviews about my performance. He gave me a sample project. I wonder if he is aware that I am a fresher. He gave me some modules to accompolish which I found very hard. But I tried my level best to complete it.But I could not fulfill successfully. I was not given a good computer. I had a tough time. I lost my sleep, because only if that stupid approves , my employement will be confirmed. But that man did not do so. He said that I lack qualities like taking up the challenge, struggling, working hard etc etc etc. Nonsense he is not ready to change his believes and he tried to make others to believe that. I was consequently demoralised by that xxxxxxxx project manager and HR team. HR people and company MD finally came to a conclusion that I am a unfit idiot to work there. At the beginning they commented that I require only little improvement in performance . But later on they said my performance is negative. I was fed up.

I was really hurt by one of their acts. They confirmed the employment of two of my colleagues who joined with me. But not confirmed me. They approved their performances but not mine.

Had I shown some effort during my campus interview I would have got placed in a reputed concern not in this stupid company.

Thst company offers only small salary but their expectation is big like that of IBM,Microsoft. Had they offered me that much renumeration they have full rights to expect big or atleast they must have provided me sufficient training.

Had I had the skill of performing excellently there why would I join that bull shit . I would have started my own software business.

I am not writing this just because of the anger that they did not confirm my job but because of the politics. I really felt bad when my collegues who joined with me get their salary slip but I am just paid a meagre stipend amount.

So do not be elated when you get placed. It is a small company. I faced this type of politics here but in large companies the politics may be higher than I faced.

So your employment is still hanging in air. You will really face tough time only after entering in it.
