SAHANA APARTMENTS
Rohit stops the car in front of the building and peeps out through the window. He looks the big board displaying the name of the building and enters inside it. He looks around the whole complex and gazes at different men, women, children etc.
‘I have to hide myself from them. Otherwise unnecessary crowd will form. I am not in a mood to meet any of the hell fans today’ thinks Rohit
He wears his sun glasses and a cap on his head.
‘Nobody can recognize me in this appearance’ thinks himself touching his face, beard and moustache. He then walks towards the building and looks around the Mrunalini’s flat. He stops a passerby and asks for the direction. The passerby looks at him in surprise and shows him the way. Rohit gets nervous on the strange look of the guy and leaves from the place soon. Rohit climbs the staircase and reaches the relevant floor. He locates the flat and steps towards it. He looks at a woman opening the door and coming out of the house and climbing to the next floor. Rohit moves towards the opened door and gets inside the flat. He makes a slow and silent step inside the house and looks at Mrunalini who takes a nap in the sofa. Beside her, were scattered some pills and tablets and some medicinal spray. Rohit goes towards her and kneels down silently. He takes the scattered stuffs in his hand and looks at Mrunalini with a guilty expression.
‘What kind of a son I am? I do not even know that Ma has asthma trouble. For how many years she is suffering like this? Why no one informed me about? Not even that idiot Chota told me about this.For the past few days she might have had many stress and pressure. How did she handle them with this trouble?’
Rohit gently touches her hand and holds it in his hands.
‘Ma. I am so sorry for whatever happened. I know how much you are angry on your absolute son. Give me a chance and I will set everything as you wished. I will do anything for you which would bring peace to you.’ says Rohit to Mrunalini.
Rohit holds Mrunalini’s hand and kisses gently without disturbing her. A little shadow distracts him and looks at the direction.
‘Dadhi, I am very hungry. Give me something to eat’ says Trisha in a lazy voice and drowsy eyes.
Rohit looks at Trisha who stands drowsily and tired after a sleep in her room. Trisha squeezes her eyes and looks at the person in front of her near to her Dadhi. Her face turns in surprise on seeing the guy in front of her. Rohit rises from his position and stands in front of her. Trisha does not recognize him and still looks at him in wonder. Rohit tries to smile at her and rises his hands like ‘Hi’ hesitantly. Trisha again squeezes her eyes and tries to get a clear picture of the guy standing in front of her. Rohit removes the cap from his head and then the sun glasses from his eyes.
Trisha’s face turns in horror on looking at the man and she gets reminded of the scene where threatened to kill her.
‘Dadhiiiiiiiiiiiiiii’ screams Trisha in full volume making the whole building tremble.
Rohit is taken aback and gets horrified. Mrunalini jolts from her sleep and wakes up quickly by the scream. She could not realize where she is around and what is going on. She looks around with scare and is shocked to see Rohit standing there. Rohit goes near to Trisha and Trisha steps backward. She repeatedly screams in loud volume in fear and calls Mrunalini.
‘Rohit’ shouts Mrunalini at him.
Rohit turns back and looks at his mother nervously.
‘What are you doing here?’ taunts Mrunalini at Rohit
‘Ma, I got information that you got asthma attack.’ replies Rohit in a hesitant and low voice. ‘Ma, are you ok? You don’t have any problems isn’t it?’ asks Rohit going towards her
Mrunalini opens her mouth to reply him but Trisha screams in a high volume. She runs inside the bed room and closes the door. Mrunalini goes towards her and knocks the door repeatedly but Trisha does not open it.
‘Beta, it is your Dadhi. Open the door’ says Mrunalini to her knocking the door repeatedly. Rohit gets stunned looking at the incidents happening.
‘Trisha, open the door, beta. Just obey my words once.’ says Mrunalini to her
‘Dadhi. I will not come out. If I come, he will kill me’ screams Trisha from inside
Rohit gets back to the world and he goes to the door and knocks it along with Mrunalini.
‘Trisha. It is your papa here. Don’t get scared. I will not do any harm to you. Open the door.’ shouts Rohit to her.
Mrunalini looks at Rohit angrily and drags him away from the door.
‘Who the hell asked you to come here?’ shouts Mrunalini at him.
‘Ma, please just listen to me. I have realized my mistake and I will never let anything like this to happen again. Just forgive me once.’
‘Well. I can understand what made you to realize your mistake. You are about to be hand-cuffed for the nasty thing you did. You want to escape from it and you are trying to convince me. I know you are great actor even deserved to get Oscar award. Don’t ever show your acting skills to me’
‘Ma. Why don’t you understand me?’ screams Rohit to her. ‘This is not any acting. I am truly apologizing to you from my heart. Ma, please give me a chance and come home.’ pleads Rohit to her
The entrance door opens and Radha comes inside.
‘Mrunalini ji. Luckily I am having this medicine at my home. You can…’ interrupts Radha looking at a stranger standing inside the house. Rohit knocks the door repeatedly and asks Trisha to come out. Radha looks at the situation in surprise and she looks at Mrunalini with a questioning expression. Mrunalini gets embarrassed by the situation and stands in a helpless condition.
‘Mruna ji. Is everything ok? Who is this?’ asks Radha to her
Mrunalini does not answer her and looks at Rohit angrily. Radha also looks at Rohit who keeps knocking the door.
Mrunalini goes towards him and says ‘I am requesting you. I will even touch your feet and beg you. Please go away from here.’ Says Mrunalini
Rohit stops knocking the door and looks at Mrunalini in shock.
‘Ma…’ says Rohit in a painful tone.
‘Yes. That little girl now only recovered from a big mental trauma. If you do anything again, it might harm her health very badly. For God’s sake leave this place’ pleads Mrunalini to Rohit
‘Ma, please once listen to me and then…’
‘I am not in a position to hear anything from you. I want peace of mind which I did not get from that house for all these years. Just go away’ says Mrunalini and she turns towards the door.
‘Trisha, listen to me. He has left this place. Come out, beta ’
‘I will not come until Rahini aunty comes here’ screams Trisha from inside
‘Trisha, I am telling you isn’t it? Trust me. He has gone from this place. Come out’ says Mrunalini to her
‘I will not come out until Rahini aunty comes’ screams Trisha again
Mrunalini looks at Radha and Rohit in an embarrassed look. Radha looks at Rohit but he avoids looking at her.
‘Mruna ji, is there anything I could do to help you?’ asks Radha to her
Mrunalini looks at her painfully.
‘Radha ji. Rahini has to come here. Please help me’
Radha thinks for a few seconds and goes to the door.
‘Trisha, this is Radha dadhi. Come out beta.’ Says Radha to Trisha
‘I will not, I will not, I will not’ screams Trisha in a high volume.
‘No beta. It is not good to trouble to Dadhi like this. Obey her words.’
Trisha does not answer her. Radha and Mrunalini look at each other. Radha takes her mobile phone and dials the number.
‘Rahini, can you come home immediately?’
… … …
‘Yes. I am fine. You just come as soon as possible to Trisha’s house.’
… … …
‘I cannot say anything to you over phone. You come home soon.’ says Radha to her.
She disconnects the call and looks at Mrunalini.
‘Mruna ji. Rahini will come home soon. You don’t worry. She will make feel better’ says Radha to her
Mrunalini looks for Rohit but he is not present there. Radha gazes Mrunalini and asks her ‘Is this your son, Mruna ji?’
Mrunalini remains silent
‘Trisha’s father, isn’t it?’
Mrunalini hesitantly nods her head like ‘yes’

Arun wanders here and there and his face show extreme tension. He repatedly dials his mobile and hears the voice saying ‘The number you have dialed is currently switched off. Please try again later’
‘What is this? Where did this bhayya vanished suddenly. I was just few minutes away from him and he fled in that small gap.’
He dials the number again and he gets the same announcement. He gets irritated looking at the mobile.
‘How irresponsible? Not informed anything about whereabouts and not picking up the phone. What the hell he is thinking in his mind? Both mother and son are reducing my lifespan like anything.’
Arun’s mobile rings and Arun happily looks at the mobile. The screen flashes as ‘Ma calling’. Arun looks at the screen in surprise and attends the call.
‘Who asked you to send him to my house? You never bother to obey my words and taking everything for granted.’ shouts Mrunalini from other side.
Arun frowns on her statement.
‘Ma, just calm down and take a breath. I really don’t understand what are you talking about? Whom did I send and where?’
‘Don’t act too smart. I know you are the brother of a great super star actor. You both trying to make fool of me isn’t it? You all shall go to any extent to make people act like your wish. Just let him know that it is it enough, if acts in front of the camera alone and also tell him to not to make any attempt to meet either me or Trisha at any cost. Do you know how much we are working hard to make her recover from her fear and today he has spoiled everything. You people never understand any pain of other people and are always concerned only about self. I am really ashamed to be the mother you stupids’ shouts Mrunalini to Arun continuously
Arun’s attempts to interrupt her talk but he fails to do so. His face turns surprised on hearing all the statements of Mrunalini and the reason for her anger.
‘Ma, are you saying bhayya came to your house?’
‘Yes. He not only came here but also created a great riot. Why did you give him this address?’
‘Ma, what you are saying? I did not give any address to him. Believe me and it is a news for me that bhayya came there. I am searching for him everywhere and I am not able to contact him at all.’
‘I am not ready to hear any of your lies anymore.’ taunts Mrunalini to him
‘Ma, why are you not believing me? Whatever I am saying is true’
‘Mrunalini ji’ calls Radha
Mrunalini reposinds to her and looks at her.
‘May be he is saying the truth. Just ask him about the call which I made a while back?’ asks Radha to her
Arun hears the conversation from the other side and replies her
‘Which call? When?’ asks Arun
‘Rahini’s mother called you just a while before to inform you about my asthma problem’ says Mrunalini in a strict voice
Arun gets shocked and says ‘Asthma problem? Ma, what are you saying? You got attack again? Are you fine, Ma? Did you take the medication? When did this happen? How are feeling now? Can I bring doctor to your house or I will take you to hospital?’ Arun shoots questions continuously with tension in his voice.
‘What? You are behaving as if you know nothing. I was there when Radha ji called you and informed about my health condition.’
‘I really don’t know. I was chatting with bhayya and I went out when I got an important phone call. When I returned, he disappeared somewhere and I am searching him now.’
Mrunalini looks at Radha in confusion.
‘Mruna ji. Perhaps it was your other son who spoke to me. I told your address to him and he came here’ says Radha
Mrunalini feels irritated for the happenings around. Arun hears the conversation from other side and he turns worried.
‘Ma, is everything fine? Nothing serious happened here isn’t it?’ asks Arun with a concern.
‘There is nothing left to happen anymore. Nothing would be fine in the place where your bhayya goes. He is exactly like a bull entering a China shop.’ Says Mrunalini angrily and disconnects the call.
Arun gets confused about the conversation and he stands helplessly.

Rahini reaches the apartments and she directly goes to Trisha’s house in hurry. She rushes inside the home and looks at the people who are very much tensed and tired. Mrunalini and Radha look at Rahini and both of their faces show happiness.
‘Good you have come, beta.’ Says Mrunalini
Rahini looks at the surroundings very strange.
‘Ma ji. What happened? Where is Trisha?’
Mrunalini looks at the door of the room and says ‘She locked herself inside the room and is very persistent that she would come out only if you come here.’
Rahini goes towards the door and knocks it.
‘Trisha, Come out. Rahini aunty has come.’ Says Rahini to her
Few minutes later the door open and the scared little girl comes out of the room and hugs her tightly.
‘Aunty, where did you go? He came here to kill me, aunty’ says Trisha to her in a frightened voice and with tears in her eyes.
Rahini frowns and looks at both the ladies. Both woman keep quiet and look at her.
’Aunty, please do not leave me here and go away. You promised me that no one will harm me until you are with me, isn’t it?
Rahini kneels down and hugs Trisha.
‘Trisha, I knew my promise. Don’t worry. I will not leave you and go anywhere’
Rahini looks at both women with questioning expression. Radha does not answer her and she looks at Mrunalini.
‘Ro…’ stammers Mrunalini for a second and she says ‘Kunal came here just a while before’
Rahini gets shocked on hearing this and Mrunalini looks at her with a miserable expression.
‘What you are saying Ma ji? Your son came here? Why? Did he threatened her again?’ asks Mrunalini angrily
‘I don’t know what to say. I am really tired of everything happening around me. I want to sit peacefully somewhere without any tension about any of them.’ Says Mrunalini to her and she sits on a sofa and closes her eyes. Rahini looks at Radha and gestures like ‘What happened?’. Radha briefs about the happenings took place before she came. Rahini does not show any expression in her face. She goes to Mrunalini and sits beside her.
‘Ma ji. What does your son want? Why is he doing like this?’
‘I don’t know. He abandoned this child, he left the home, he then came back, he threatened her and now he is coming back to me for forgiveness. He says that he has realized the mistake and asking me to come home. Look at this girl.’ Says Mrunalini pointing to Trisha
‘Trisha was very eager when she heard that her Papa is returning home. She was having thousands of dreams about spending her time with her father and she repeatedly insisted me to take her to him. But now when she met her Papa, she is screaming like anything as if she has seen a monster. He kicked out the love of his own daughter and I don’t know where is willing to go and what he wants to chase in his life?’ Mrunalini spills all the miseries which is disturbing her a lot.
Rahini does not reply to any of her questions and statements.
‘My only concern is about Trisha’s future. Who will take care of her if something happens to me suddenly. A hopeless father and a useless uncle certainly cannot give her any happiness of her life. The very thought makes me go insane and may it might take my life soon’
‘Ma ji. You are thinking about unnecessary things. Nothing would happen to you. You will live long and see your lovely girl growing up and living a colorful life.’ consoles Rahini
Mrunalini gives a sad smile to her
‘I did not get any immortality boon, Rahini. I am already very much aged. Besides, I am having several health problems. Whatever you say to console me is far from the truth. Who can give me assurance that Trisha will safe and secure always whether I am alive or not? Who can give me that peace of mind by saying Trisha is their responsibly after my death?’ asks Mrunalini looking at Rahini with an expectation in her eyes.
Rahini looks at her straight and she does not give any answer to her.
